Project Summary

This 12-story, 160 room Hyatt Place hotel is located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan and its Central Business District. It was simultaneously constructed alongside the 15-story Warner Building, containing a 430 space parking structure between floors 2-7, of which the hotel shares and is connected to at the 2nd floor lobby, check-in and lounge area.

The first floor features a large seating area, pool, fitness center and elevator lobby with a grand staircase leading up to the 2nd floor lounge. Adjacent to the common area is an entrance to 5,300-square-foot restaurant Tupelo Honey, which seats 120 people.

The hotel’s lounge on the 2nd floor features a large, full-service bar and market area with food and drink service, as well as a walk-through, cafeteria-style food bar used for breakfast and special events. A variety of functional seating areas accommodate business and vacation guests alike. A large meeting room with modular partitions and integrated audio/visual can host up to 130 people and 1,500 square feet of combined event space. Consistent with the rest of the hotel, floor-to-ceiling glass with automated blinds and drapes allow ample amounts of natural light and cityscape views.

Floors 3-12 offer nine different floorplan options within the 160 total rooms. All rooms offer an open floorplan with a king and queen bed variations, decorative partition, work desk, and ‘cozy corner’ with sofa-sleeper.
