GRAND RAPIDS, MI - 20 Monroe Live, the new spot for live music in Grand Rapids, announced its opening date and released an eclectic mix of concerts for early next year.
The grand opening will be Wednesday, February 1 with a performance by Trombone Shorty.

20 Monroe Live will be a 2,600-capacity club and is in partnership with The B.O.B. It will offer locally-sourced cuisine, state-of-the-art production and lights, including a movable stage that will allow the room to scale for different size audiences.
Concert-goers will be able to enhance their experience on the second level of the venue at the VIP club, which will feature a private bar and open air patio.
Greg Gilmore, chief executive of The Gilmore Collection, said he has wanted to build a music club for 20 years.
"We've proven we can attract national and international touring artists to a world-class venue that will serve Grand Rapids for many years to come," Gilmore said in a statement.
Tickets for all shows will go on sale to the general public Friday Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.20monroelive.com, www.livenation.com and www.ticketmaster.com.
More concerts will be announced Monday, Nov. 28.
A four-season beer garden is also scheduled to open in the spring next door to the new concert venue.
