Construction on a new $5 million senior living community is complete. Grand Rapids based Orion Construction and Vista Springs announced last week the completion of Vista Springs Riverside Gardens in Grand Rapids, 2420 Coit Ave. NE. The project was a renovation and addition at the former Riverside Elementary School and is Vista Springs’ newest assisted living and memory care services facility. The renovation included the 20,000 square foot school, and the addition of covers 23,000 square feet, creating 45 one and two bedroom units.
“Our team is committed to providing 'Full of Life' experiences that help our community members achieve happier, healthier lives,” said Lou Andriotti, CEO, Vista Springs. Ground was broken on the community in March 2015 and was completed on time and within budget. Orion has now completed two projects with Vista Springs and is working on an addition of 40 bedrooms and memory care capabilities at a facility in Wyoming.
The Wyoming project is slated to be completed in July. The two companies have also signed a letter of intent for a facility in Holland, with another on the east side of the state possible. “We truly value this relationship and look forward to future opportunities with this great organization,” said Roger Rehkopf, president, Orion Construction.
