An Atlanta-based staffing company is planting some West Michigan roots in downtown Grand Rapids.
Insight Global has signed a long-term lease for a 7,500-square-foot office space in Arena Place, at 45 Ottawa Ave. SW, and expects to bring 40 jobs to the area, according to Colliers International | West Michigan.
Insight Global will move into the space once its office build out is complete, likely in June, said Megan Barker, director of corporate recruiting, Insight Global.
She said there’s already a team working in a temporary office in Grand Rapids.
David Wiener brokered the deal for Colliers, along with Jodi Selvey, who represented Insight Global.
Office space at Arena Place is now fully leased, including Miller Johnson, Hanon McKendry and Meritage Hospitality.
“We are always excited when new companies want to enter the greater Grand Rapids market and be part of our economic growth,” Wiener said. “Insight Global has a young workforce and what we find time and time again is that young professionals want to be where they can live, work and play — and Arena Place offers all of that in one location.”
Insight Global was founded in 2001 in Atlanta and has grown to 41 North American offices, providing staffing services to Fortune 500 companies.
The company is regularly named among the best companies to work for and 24/7 Wall Street noted it is the third largest IT staffing company in the U.S.
Services provided by Insight Global include long-term, short-term and temporary-to-permanent staffing.
Although IT is Insight Global’s focus, it also serves the engineering, accounting and financial industries.
Barker said Insight Global expects to grow to 98 offices in major metropolitan areas within the next several years, noting that Grand Rapids’ growth is a reason for the company’s new office in West Michigan.
Arena Place will be home to a mix of retail and office tenants and 100 apartments.
Bringing tenants such as Insight Global helps showcase why developments like Arena Place are important to downtown Grand Rapids, Orion Construction President Roger Rehkopf said.
