Project Summary

20 Monroe Live is a state-of-the-art venue in Grand Rapids. A new home for live music, entertainment and special events, 20 Monroe Live has features that allows the venue to accommodate nearly 2600 patrons for live events and scale down to an intimate configuration for all types of special events. Most shows will feature a general admission standing floor with reserved mezzanine seating. The second level features the Vanguard, a beautiful VIP club with the amenities of a private bar, open air patio and access to the best seats in the house.

The 38,000 sq ft facility connects with The BOB (a 4-story 70,000 sq ft mix of restaurants, brewery, comedy club, and other night-life destinations) as well as the Venue Tower Apartments, which was also completed by Orion Construction in August of 2017.  20 Monroe Live will host over 120 shows a year, including: Concerts, Comedy, Beer/Wine shows, and other small conventions.  The venue incorporates a unique stage that can be configured to accommodate a variety of audience sizes, therefore providing the right fit and intimate experience for each individual performance.

  • 2-story, 38,000 sq ft entertainment complex
  • standing floor, mezzanine seating, VIP club room
  • modular stage to accommodate different size shows
"We want to make 20 Monroe Live a place where people come early to see a show and hang out. We want them to enjoy the concert, and then spend time in the venue to relax, have dinner and wind down their evening. We want this to become a downtown destination."
