Project Description
Union Suites at Coit represents not only a physical transformation of urban space but also a testament to the power of collaborative partnerships in addressing pressing socio-economic challenges. Completed in August of 2023, this 46,000 square-foot building boasts a variety of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. Constructed with a combination of wood, steel, and concrete, the building features a parking garage under the building with 14-foot walls and reinforced steel beams leading into wood frame construction for the apartments. One unique challenge with this build was the parking garage, which is located right underneath the front courtyard. Because of this, no construction vehicles could drive on that spot and all vehicles had to stay on the street. A stone slinger was brought in to move materials to the site. This build was energy star certified. The project adhered to its budget and was completed on time.
