Tommy’s has an established history of providing a wide range of services to boaters and water sports enthusiasts at several locations throughout Michigan, Colorado and Florida. In a recent move to continue growing their brand and upgrade their space and services, Tommy’s decided to build a new location in Grand Rapids. This new 14,500 square foot facility boasts a 4,800 square foot showroom with clear-span steel trusses, 16 foot ceiling and nine 12’x12’ overhead doors for an expansive and versatile retail area on the ground floor. Four enclosed offices and four work stations line the back of the show room, as well as rest rooms, changing room, conference room, stock room and employee lounge. A combination of EIFS, hardie plank, concrete block, and metal panel give the exterior a clean and modern look. The lower level is a dedicated service and detail area with four large overhead doors, two offices, bathroom, and parts storage room. Foundation and block walls support a hollow-core precast slab ceiling with a height of 14 feet to allow adequate clearance for larger boats.
