A Grand Rapids townhome developer is heading to the lakeshore.
Orion Construction and Wheeler Development Group broke ground earlier this month on a 42-unit market-rate townhome community in Spring Lake.
Dubbed The Reserve — Townhomes of Spring Lake, the 6-acre site is located at 14840 Cleveland St. and is just off the Nunica exit. Orion is currently underway with site work and expects to begin vertical work with construction through the winter. Orion will turn the first units/buildings over to PURE Real Estate Management in summer 2020 to begin move-ins.
PURE intends to begin pre-leasing in April 2020. The entire project will be complete in January 2021.

With the Reserve, Orion is creating a unit make-up similar to that of the Knoll Townhomes of Ada and Hanover Townhomes in Caledonia — two- and three-bedroom units with gas fireplaces, large/open kitchens, extra storage, attached garages, and upscale appointments throughout the units.
Floor plans include 1,369-square-foot, two-bedroom units starting around $1,850, and 1,518-square-foot, three-bedroom units at around $2,150.
