On Oct. 9, Orion Construction helped kick off a Habitat for Humanity of Kent County multi-family construction project in Grand Rapids’ Roosevelt Park neighborhood.
Orion Construction is scheduled to break ground on the third phase of the Habitat for Humanity project in Spring 2026. The project includes demolishing an old construction warehouse no longer in use by Habitat to make way for a five-story, 40,000 square-foot building at 539 New Ave. SW in Roosevelt Park. The building will feature 27 new affordable condo units in the community.
During the event, Habitat leaders and the project’s subcontractors gathered to review renderings, full size drawings, the project’s profile, and participate in a 3D walk-through experience of the future condos.
