Project Summary

After sitting vacant for seven years, the site of a former Social Security Administrative building has been transformed into a valuable new addition to the historic Heritage Hill neighborhood with which it resides.

Before construction began, ORES purchased the 2.3-acre site in 2016 and received unanimous City/Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) approvals to remove the existing building and construct the new apartment building. Long-time residents become engaged in the design and development process to ensure that the new building would blend well with the character and identity of the historic neighborhood.

Heritage Place is a four-story apartment community with 86 market-rate apartments: 22 studios, 48 one-bedroom, and 16 two-bedroom units. There are 115 on-site parking spaces and two historic carriage houses that were preserved and updated per specifications of the HPC.  Each of the 86 apartments features solid surface countertops, stainless steel appliances, stacked washer/dryer, tile showers and other high end finishes.
