GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The new Hyatt Place Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids is on track to open in August.
The hotel at 140 Ottawa Avenue NW at Pearl Street will have 12 floors and house 160 guests. There will be a 24/7 coffee and cocktail bar, indoor pool, fitness center and ground-floor restaurant.
The next step is adding furniture and hiring.
“We are on pace for the construction schedule, maybe a little bit ahead, construction wise,” hotel general manager Lindsay Jarvis said Monday. “We’ll hire up to 55 associates for the hotel and getting those people started in the next couple months.”
