The management company for a new downtown hotel is hiring.

AHC+Hospitality is looking for 50 workers for the soon-to-open Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown at 150 Ottawa Ave. NW.

The hotel needs supervisors and associates in multiple areas: front desk, baristas and bartenders, engineering, room attendants, laundry, public area cleaners, security, cooks and night audit.

Hyatt Place will run two job fairs next week, where there will be on-site interviews and hiring.

The first is on June 5 from 1-7 p.m. at LINC UP in Grand Rapids, at 1167 Madison Ave. SE. The second is on June 10 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at JW Marriott Grand Rapids, at 235 Louis St. NW.

Job fair attendees do not need to apply for positions beforehand.

The Hyatt Place team also plans to attend a hiring event hosted by LINC UP on June 20 from 4-6 p.m. at the LINC UP Gallery in Grand Rapids, at 341 Hall St. SE.
