GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - A former parking lot in downtown Grand Rapids, is now home to the city's newest major development. Orion Construction broke ground Tuesday morning on the project along Ottawa Avenue, between Lyon Street and Pearl Street.
One tower will be a 12-story Hyatt Place Hotel with 160 rooms The other tower will be 15-stories of office space. According to the Grand Rapids Business Journal, it will be anchored by the law firm Warner Norcross & Judd and Chemical Bank.
The 63.5 million dollar project will include a 430 car parking ramp space and room for restaurants and retail shops.
